Day One
Make your way to Avonmouth for embarkation and this evening's sailing.
Day Two
Today finds Discovery in Dublin, the incomparable Irish capital. This engaging, vibrant city was home to Joyce, Yeats, Wilde and Swift, and was the birthplace of Shaw. It is also the site of Trinity College, Dublin. Enjoy rich culture, Grafton and O'Connell Streets packed with shoppers, and perhaps a stop in one of the cafes and coffee shops, or famous bars and pubs.
Day Three
This morning Discovery anchors in the wonderful bay of Victorian Oban. Take a shore excursion, perhaps to one of a host of nearby whisky distilleries, before Discovery weighs anchor once more.
Day Four
Discovery anchors off Stornoway, the capital of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, today. Perched on the very edge of Britain, these unspoiled islands have been inhabited continuously for over 6,000 years, and are guardians of a rich culture with its roots in the mists of time. Explore the town, or take the excursion to the mysterious and ancient Standing Stones at Callanish, thought to be nearly 4,000 years old.
Day Five
Today's destination is the ancient Orkney capital of Kirkwall, with its magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, meandering streets and excellent museum. Kirkwall is gateway to a rugged hinterland where history, archaeology, crafts and wildlife all play their part.
Day Six
The Shetland Islands, and their enchanting capital, Lerwick, are home to ancient legend, traditional crafts and an incredible abundance of bird-life. Spend time in the town, or join the excursion to the 3,000 year-old archaeological site at Jarlshof, with its Bronze and Iron Age remains.
Day Seven
Discovery arrives in the delightful Wester Ross port of Ullapool, today. Here you'll be able to step ashore and explore the breathtaking North West Highlands - which include Torridon's granite massifs and dramatic, remote Ben Assynt - or take an excursion to discover some of Britain's most awe-inspiring scenery.
Day Eight
Today is spent at sea cruising south and enjoying the memories of the past few days.
Day Nine
Discovery arrives back in Bristol, at the end of a wonderful few days' cruising.

MV Discovery
In 2013, 20,000-tonne Discovery sets out on a series of exciting departures from ports around the UK, on her first season of cruises. With her classic profile, eight passenger decks, and accommodation for 700 passengers, Discovery is a smaller ship built in traditional style, and offers the perfect 'home from home' for a memorable holiday.
