Day Two
Today is spent at sea, enjoying the atmosphere on board and getting to know Marco Polo's wonderful on-board amenities.
Day Three
Hardangerfjord stretches over 100 kilometres into the Norwegian interior, and this morning Marco Polo heads into its stunning landscape. Discover a world where sheer, forested mountainsides plunge into still waters as Marco Polo heads to Eidfjord, from where you can take an excursion to the towering Voringfossen waterfalls.
Day Four
Awake as Marco Polo cruises through the narrow fingers of mighty Sognefjord, the world's largest and deepest fjord, to Flam in the remotest corner of the fjord. From here, you can board the world famous Flamsbana Mountain Railway to witness the sheer beauty of the journey to Myrdal.Later this evening, enjoy another breathtaking cruise through wondrously scenic Naeroyfjord.
Day Five
Skjolden, in Lustrafjord, is Marco Polo's destination today. From here wonderful optional shore excursions may take you into the stunning interior. Follow the spectacularly scenic ancient trading route of the Sognefjellsweg, or visit the awe-inspiring Nigardsbreen glacier, an eastern section of the massive Jostedalsbreen ice-pack.
Day Six
This morning Marco Polo docks in Bergen - an ancient Hanseatic city of cobbled streets and medieval houses, and birthplace of composer Edvard Grieg. Visit the vibrant harbour and fish market, stroll past the wooden warehouses of Bryggen and take the Floibanen funicular to the summit of 'Mount' Floyen.
Day Seven
Today is spent at sea, no doubt swapping memories with fellow passengers, and enjoying a last evening's entertainment on board.
Day Eight
Marco Polo arrives back in Tilbury at the end of the memorable voyage, and you'll bid farewell and make your way home.
