Day One
Make your way this morning to the East Anglain port of Harwich, from where Discovery sails early this afternoon. Get to know the ship and your fellow passengers as you begin your journey.
Day Two
Today is spent at sea, enjoying life on board with all of the wonderful amenities Discovery has to offer.
Day Three
Discovery arrives this afternoon in "wonderful, wonderful" Copenhagen. Stroll its famous shopping street, Stroget, or perhaps pay a short visit to the world-famous Tivoli Gardens. Alternatively, our optional excursion will introduce you to the city's highlights, including the fabled bronze statuette of the 'Little Mermaid.'
Day Four
Another day is spent at sea, hopefully cruising in the wonderful light for which the Baltic is renowned.
Day Five
Awake as Discovery threads her way through Finland's scenic, southwest archipelago, arriving this afternoon in the former capital, Turku. Head ashore to discover the European Capital of Culture in 2011, and perhaps visit the Sibelius Museum, or take a shore excursion to exquisite Naantali with its beautiful wooden houses.
Day Six
Today we'll arrive in beautiful Tallinn. Step back in time as you explore the enchanting Estonian capital with its perfectly preserved Old Town, winding cobblestone streets full of storybook houses, steepled churches and ancient buildings, all watched over by Toompea Castle.
Days Seven to Nine
Perhaps the highlight of the cruise, today you dock in glorious St Petersburg. Discover the incomparable Hermitage Museum, the Haymarket area of the city still redolent with scenes from Dostoyevsky's novels, and the Marinsky Theatre, home to the world renowned 'Kirov' Ballet. You'll also have the opportunity discover magical Moscow on an overnight excursion, or to visit the fabled Summer Palace at Petrodvorets.
Day Ten
Discovery cruises back into the Baltic, heading for home.
Day Eleven
The historic port city of Gdynia, once the mightiest in Poland, welcomes Discovery this morning. Part of the 'Tri-City' alongside elegant spa Sopot and fabled Gdansk, Gdynia is a fascinating port of call, set on the picturesque Bay of Gdansk, and provides the opportunity for some wonderful shore excursions.
Day Twelve
This morning Discovery arrives in Warnemunde, gateway to the city of Rostock. Discover the charming gabled houses and historic Neuer Markt, or join the optional excursion to Berlin. Take in the city's fascinating history - from the Brandenburg Gate and the great 1926 Olympic Stadiumand to Hitler's Bunker and Checkpoint Charlie - before returning to Discovery, ready to sail, this evening.
Day Thirteen
Today's highlight will be Discovery's transit of the famous Kiel Canal, which connects the Baltic with the North Sea, saving over 250 miles' sailing around Denmark. Enjoy a final evening aboard, as you head for home.
Day Fourteen
Discovery returns to Harwich, at the end of a wonderful cruise.
