Day One
Travel by coach from your selected pick-up point, cross the Channel, and continue to join Olympia in Andernach. After a first evening meal, enjoy a nightcap in the ship's bar, or simply retire to your comfortable cabin.
Day Two
Olympia sails early this morning from Andernach, heading upstream into the Middle Rhine to Koblenz and the mighty Ehrenbreitstein castle. Admire the picturesque twists and turns of the River Moselle, before stepping ashore to explore the pretty winemaking village of Cochem, nestled beneath fairy-tale Reichsburg Castle.This afternoon, journey by coach along the Mosel Weinstrasse's scenic route on our optional excursion, before Olympia moors overnight in Cochem.
Day Three
Enjoy a scenic cruise back to Koblenz, before arriving later this afternoon in delightful Boppard, the 'Pearl of the Rhine'. Discover the wine making town's many charms on our included walking tour and, this evening, enjoy dinner and entertainment on board, or step ashore to experience Boppard by night.
Day Four
Olympia sails into the beautiful Middle Rhine today. You'll pass vineyards and ancient villages, before heading through the narrow gorge beneath the fabled Lorelei, the legendary rock where sirens were said to have lured sailors to their fates. This afternoon, Olympia ties up in Rudesheim. Step ashore to explore the celebrated wine town's narrow streets - the most celebrated of which, the Drosselgasse, is lined with bars and weinstuben - and join our optional excursion to see the quirky wonders of Siegfried's Musikal Kabinett.
Day Five
Having sailed south during the night, Olympia arrives early this morning in stylish Mannheim, at the confluence of the Rhine and the River Neckar. Join the optional excursion to beautiful Heidelberg, the 'Student Prince' city set beneath an imposing castle, before sailing onto the great city of Mainz. Enjoy dinner on board and step ashore to explore.
Day Six
Enjoy an included walking tour of Mainz, with its six-towered cathedral, Gutenberg Museum and delightful Altstadt of half-timbered houses, before returning to Olympia for this afternoon's sailing into the River Main. You'll pass through an exquisite vineyard-clad landscape, and head east towards the Frankfurt's impressive, arriving after dinner this evening.
Day Seven
Take the optional guided tour this morning and discover Frankfurt's historic Altstadt, the towering facade of the Kaiserdom church, and the delightful lanes of Sachsenhausen - home to countless cafes and bars serving traditional Ebbelwoi or Apfelwein cider. The rest of the day is free to explore, or to relax on board Olympia. This evening, the Captain hosts a Farewell Dinner, with the chance to swap memories of the past wonderful few days with fellow passengers.
Day Eight
Bid 'Auf wiedersehen' to Olympia and her crew this morning, and begin your return journey back to the UK.
