Day Two
Discover Manhattan today and marvel at the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings, bustling Times Square and the green acres of Central Park. Join our optional tour and enjoy stunning views of the city from Top of the Rock, atop Rockefeller Center, and see Manhattan from the air on our optional helicopter flight.
Day Three
Heading north today, towards beautiful Vermont, we'll make a stop at the Yankee Candle Flagship store in Deerfield. Browse the candles, and Christmas and Halloween novelties, and relax in the cafe, before we continue into the Green Mountain State of Vermont and Stratton Mountain, our base for the night, where the fall colours should be magnificent.
Day Four
A marvellous day awaits as we delve deeper into wooded countryside where the maples, cedars and aspens are ablaze with red, orange and golden leaves. Visit the quintessential New England village of Woodstock with its covered bridge and traditional Main Street. Later, we'll drive the Kancamagus Highway - often voted best spot for foliage viewing. Tonight is spent at North Conway in New Hampshire, known for its bargain-priced outlet shopping.
Day Five
Soak up the stunning colours and rolling, forested hills of the New England scenery as you travel into the stunning New Hampshire Lakes' region, where fall colours are reflected and refined by the clear, mirror waters. In the afternoon, we'll break in the old seafaring town of Portsmouth before heading for Hull for a three-night stay.
Day Six
Journey to one of America's most elegant, welcoming cities and enjoy an optional guided city tour. Explore Boston's famous 'Freedom Trail', past the gold-domed State House and the Old North Church, and wander colourful Quincy Market and the Harborside parks and gardens.
Day Seven
On today's optional excursion we'll head to Plymouth, where the Pilgrim Fathers landed in America. Take a stroll through Plymouth's historic streets, and explore the fascinating Plimoth Plantation, where staff in period costume re-enact events and life from a day in 1627.
