The Haute-Savoie region of France boasts some of the country's most spectacular scenery, from the snow-capped peaks and green summer meadows of the Alps to the clear blue sparkling water of the lakes. This tour explores the pretty lakeside towns and villages of Lake Annecy and Lake Geneva as well as visits to the spectacular mountain resort of Chamonix and the international city of Geneva from your beautiful Alpine base in the resort of La Clusaz.

Day 1
Travel by Eurostar from St Pancras or Ebbsfleet to Lille and onwards to Lyon by TGV. On arrival at the station transfer by coach (approx. 2 hours) under tour manager's direction to La Clusaz for check in at hotel for 6-night stay on dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2
Full day in Annecy.
Day 3
Full day tour to Chamonix.
Day 4
Full day to relax in La Clusaz at your own leisure.
Day 5
Full day tour to Lake Geneva including Evian and Yvoire.
Day 6
Full day tour to Geneva.
Day 7
Travel by TGV from Lyon to Lille and onwards by Eurostar to Ebbsfleet or St Pancras.
NB: Exact order of itinerary may vary according to local conditions and tour manager's discretion. Please note: We have decided to use Lyon as the gatewat for La Clusaz for two important reasons - Firstly, the changeover in Lille is much easier and quicker than in Paris (and is much preferred according to client feedback) so the extra transfer time is partly offset by a shorter connection time in Lille. Secondly, the departure time necessary to connect with the Annecy train is very early (07:00) due to changes to the French train schedule or arrival at the hotel would be very late, inconvenient options in both cases. The transfer time by coach from Lyon is approximately 2 hours which means arrival at the hotel in good time for dinner.
