Spanish Wonder
Visit the very best of Spain including Madrid, Seville, Granada and the Alhambra Palace, Valencia and Barcelona on this relaxed tour. We take you to Madrid and our sightseeing includes Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and the Cervantes Memorial in the Plaza Espana. When in Toledo we visit the Synagogue and the Church of Santo Tome. In Puerto Lapice we visit the inn where Don Quixote was reputedly dubbed a knight and in Cordoba we visit the Mosque of the Caliphs. View the Bell Tower, Columbus' Tomb, Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de Espana in Seville. We also take in the Alhambra Palace in Granada. When you are in Guadix you can see the fantastic cave dwellings. See the Town Hall, Cathedral and the Serrano and Cuarte Towers in Valencia and finally enjoy various sightseeing including the Gothic Quarter, Gaudi's Sagrada Familia and the Ramblas in Barcelona.

Day 2 Toledo excursion and Madrid sightseeing
Our expert local guide takes us on a walking tour of Toledo. We visit the Church of Santo Tomé, home to one of El Greco's most famous paintings, and the Synagogue on our walk through the narrow streets. We return to Madrid to admire the monument to Cervantes at the Plaza de España. We walk across the Puerta del Sol, the city's hub, and see the magnificent Plaza Mayor. (BB)

Day 3 Madrid - Cordoba - Seville (2)
Driving southwards from Madrid via Puerto Lapice, the town where Don Quixote was dubbed a knight, we arrive in Cordoba to visit the Mosque of the Caliphs and learn about the influence of the Moors from our expert local guide. Tonight why not take an excursion to watch a fiery flamenco show. (BB)

Day 4 Seville sightseeing and at leisure
This morning we view the Bell Tower of the Giralda during our sightseeing tour of Seville with an expert local guide. We see tiled fountains, pavilions and lush palms in the Maria Luisa Park, renowned for its landscape design and marvel at Christopher Columbus' ornate tomb in the cathedral. We then take a walk through the fascinating Jewish Quarter. This evening we experience a unique Be My Guest dinner at an authentic local hacienda. (BB)

Day 5 Seville - Granada
A real highlight today as we visit the magnificent Alhambra Palace in Granada with an expert local guide. A fine example of Moorish architecture, it was built during the 14th century towards the end of Islamic rule in Spain. We see the exotic water gardens of the Generalife, the royal summer palace, once linked to the Alhambra by a covered walkway across the ravine. The views over the town and surrounding hills are spectacular. (BB, D)

Day 6 Granada - Gaudix - Valencia
We travel from Granada via the Mora Pass and arrive in Guadix in the northern foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains where we can take photos of the troglodyte dwellings. We see the Bull Ring in Valencia and admire the architecture of the medieval cathedral and the Serrano and Cuarte Towers, which once formed part of the city walls. (BB)

Day 7 Valencia - Pe?iscola - Barcelona (2)
We discover the beautiful coastline as we drive north stopping in Pe?iscola, known as the Gibraltar of Valencia. In Barcelona we see Gaudi's architecture and the Olympic Stadium on Montjuic during our guided sightseeing tour of the city. We then wander along the Ramblas and the Plaza Cataluña. We see the magnificent cathedral in the Gothic Quarter and the labyrinth of streets with buildings dating from the Roman and medieval periods. (BB)

Day 8 FC Barcelona Camp Nou excursion
If you wish, join your Tour Director for an included visit to Camp Nou, FC Barcelona's football stadium and the largest in Europe. Visit the museum and stadium of the multiple winners of the Spanish Championship and UEFA Champions League. Or simply relax at the hotel, shop or make your own further discoveries of the city. This afternoon is at leisure in the city. This evening join your companions and Tour Director for a special Farewell Dinner with wine. (BB, FD)

Day 9 (Door to Door) Depart Barcelona
Say 'adios' to Spain, your fellow travellers and Tour Director at the end of a memorable holiday Transfers are available to Barcelona International Airport.
