Day 1 (Door to Door) Arrive Las Vegas
Enjoy your private car door to door transfer to your departure airport. A transfer is provided from Las Vegas to your first hotel. This afternoon, meet your Tour Director who can answer any questions you may have about the exciting days ahead. At 6pm, gather at the hotel with your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Drink.

Day 2 Las Vegas - Zion National Park & Bryce Canyon National Park
We depart the glittering neon gulch of Sin City for the gorgeous wonderland that is Zion National Park. Marvel at the graceful slot canyons, towering cliffs and awe-inspiring monoliths, all carved out over 200 million years from the orange sandstone. Then it's onward to Bryce Canyon, home to the world's largest concentration of hoodoos, those tall limestone spires that rise majestically from the desert floor. (FB, D)

Day 3 Bryce - Salt Lake City
We leave the red rock canyons and travel north to Utah's capital. See the famed Temple Square, the Mormon's headquarters and home to the renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir. This evening, perhaps enjoy an optional visit to Mormon founder Brigham Young's former home, followed by dinner at the Lion House, featuring pioneerstyle ambiance and home-style cuisine. (FB)

Day 4 Salt Lake City - Jackson
Get a glimpse of the route of the pioneers today as we cross the Oregon Trail and enter Wyoming. Scenic Jackson stands in the shadows of the icy peaks of the Grand Tetons. This evening, join your Tour Director and travelling companions for a Highlight Dinner at a local restaurant in the heart of town. (FB, HD)

Day 5 Jackson - Grand Teton National Park - Yellowstone National Park (2)
If you like, hit the water this morning on an optional guided float trip down the lovely Snake River (seasonal). We then traverse Grand Teton National Park with its snow-capped mountains, pristine alpine lakes and evergreen forests on the way to Yellowstone, established in 1872 as the world's first national park. This afternoon, we join a local expert to explore the spouting geysers, bubbling hot springs and mud paint pots.(When the South Entrance is closed due to weather conditions, the tour will travel west from Jackson via Idaho and enter Yellowstone National Park through the West Entrance). Day 6 Yellowstone National Park sightseeing
You could spend a year in Yellowstone and still only scratch the surface of its wonders. Today, we explore the impressive Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone with its stunning waterfalls and a chance to see wandering herds of bison, elk and even the occasional grizzly bear. You'll have the chance to stroll the boardwalks to view more of the park's fantastical geothermal activity - and no trip to Yellowstone is complete without a sighting of Old Faithful as its waters arc nearly 130 feet into the air. This evening, relax under the great basin of stars in one of the country's most beautiful wild places. (FB)

Day 7 Yellowstone - Cody - Billings
Today we head north to the banks of the great Shoshone River and the town of Cody, named after Wild West Showman Buffalo Bill, its most famous native son. Get a glimpse into the lively history of the American West at the Buffalo Bill Historical Centre. Then it's on to Big Sky Country for a unique Be My Guest Cowboy Dinner. As we dine on down-home cooking, our host - a cowboy entertainer - regales us with tales and songs of life in the saddle. Maybe take a quick harmonica lesson, throw a game of horseshoes or even don some traditional duds if the spirit moves you. (FB)

Day 8 Billings - Little Big Horn - Rapid City (2)
When General George Armstrong Custer led his 263 men against several thousand Sioux and Cheyenne warriors, he said, "There are not enough Indians in the world to defeat the Seventh Cavalry." History proved him wrong and today begins with a visit to Little Big Horn, where Custer fought his last battle. We next travel east into the Black Hills of South Dakota and onward to Rapid City where the evening is at leisure. (FB)

Day 9 Black Hills excursion
Discover the natural and manmade wonders of the Black Hills today with a drive to visit Mount Rushmore. Gaze in wonder at enormous faces of America's great presidents carved into the stone, and at Crazy Horse Memorial, the massive mountain sculpture of the great Oglala war chief still being carved. We return to Rapid City this afternoon for an evening at leisure. (FB)
