Day One
Ocean Countess sails from Greenock late this afternoon.

Day Two
By morning Ocean Countess will have reached Scotland's Western Isles, and anchored in Stornoway, capital of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. These beautiful, unspoilt islands, inhabited continuously for over 6,000 years, retain a rich, timeless culture. Explore, or join the excursion to the mysterious and ancient standing stones at Callanish, thought to be nearly 4,000 years old.

Day Three
Tiny, Toytown-like Torshavn is the capital of the remote Faroe Islands. A birdwatcher's Paradise, the islands are home to countless species, and its inhabitants are guardians of a deep-rooted Norse tradition, and live surrounded by natural beauty, drawing their income from the sea in the shape of fish and oil exploration. Explore Torshavn's confusion of lanes and narrow passages, or join an excursion to other parts of the islands, perhaps to cross the famous Bridge across the Atlantic connecting the main island of Streymoy with smaller, wooden-church dotted Eysturoy.

Day Four
The fabled 'isle of mist', Skye, is a wonderful place to explore. Spend the day in picturesque Portree, with its celebrated quayside fresh fish 'n' chip shops, or take an excursion. Here, historic Dunvegan Castle is the world's longest continuously inhabited fortress, and it can be explored on a shore excursion this afternoon, before Ocean Countess makes her way south.

Day Five
This afternoon we return to Greenock, and disembark at the end of a wonderful 'mini' cruise.

MV Ocean Countess

Joining the fleet in 2010, following a multi-million-pound refurbishment programme, and sailing on a series of exciting departures from ports around the UK, is 17,660-tonne 'Ocean Countess'. With her classic profile and vast deck space, and accommodation for 800 passengers, 'Ocean Countess' is a ship built in traditional style, and offers all that you would want for a memorable holiday.
