Day One
Make your way to Liverpool and board Ocean Countess for this evening's sailing.
Day Two
Today is spent cruising the scenic Western Isles, through some of Britain's most enticing waters. Get to know the ship and some of your fellow passengers, and make the most of the on-board amenities.
Day Three
Our first port of call is the Shetland capital of Lerwick. This rugged, enchanting town is gateway to a land of ancient legend, traditional crafts and an incredible abundance of bird-life. Wander the town, or join the excursion to the 3,000-year-old archaeological site at Jarlshof, with its Bronze and Iron Age remains.
Day Four
The prosperous former fishing capital of Stavanger is Ocean Countess's first Norwegian landfall. Step ashore to wander, taking in the fresh fish and flower market of the harbour-side square Torget, or perhaps take an excursion to nearby Lysefjord to marvel at the towering Preikestolen rock formation.
This afternoon, Ocean Countess turns north, beginning her journey along the beautiful Norwegian coast.
Day Five
Hardangerfjord stretches over 100 kilometres into the Norwegian interior. Be on deck early this morning as Ocean Countess heads into this stunning landscape where sheer, forested mountainsides plunge into the still waters. Our port here is tiny Ulvik, an oasis of tranquillity far removed from our hectic world.
Enjoy an overland excursion through the beautiful countryside, re-joining Ocean Countess in Eidfjord, from where you can take an excursion to the towering Voringfossen waterfalls.
Day Six
This morning we negotiate a path through the narrow fingers of Sognefjord, the world's largest and deepest fjord, heading to its most remote corner, at Flam. Here you can board the world-famous Flamsbana Mountain Railway for an unforgettable six-mile journey to Myrdal. In the afternoon we'll disembark at Vik from where you'll be able to travel by land to the popular resort of Voss.
Day Seven
Today is spent at sea, no doubt reliving the memories of the last few days.
Day Eight
Ocean Countess arrives, today, in Oban's sheltered bay. A bustling ferry port, Oban sits beneath the splendid McCaig's Tower, an architectural folly built in the style of Rome's Colosseum from which the views west are simply wonderful.Take a shore excursion, perhaps to one of a host of nearby whisky distilleries, before Ocean Countess sails once more.
Day Nine
Bid farewell to Ocean Countess today as she returns to Liverpool early this morning.
