Day Two
The fishing port of Greencastle, on Ireland's north coast and at the entrance to Lough Foyle, welcomes Ocean Countess today. Discover 'Derry', Ireland's only completely walled city, or perhaps head out into the wilds of the remote Inishowen Peninsula to explore the stunning scenery that includes Ireland's most northerly point, Malin Head, familiar to Shipping Forecast listeners everywhere.
Day Three
Today we arrive in magnificent Donegal Bay, gateway to perhaps Ireland's finest scenery. In this land of rivers and loughs, of towering mountains and sheltered glens, the Irish language is still widely spoken and traditional music rings out from the pubs and bars. From the natural anchorage at Killybegs, discover the fascinating town of Donegal, or the beautiful surrounds of this still relatively undiscovered part of the world.
Day Four
Skirting the coast, Ocean Countess heads to exquisite Bantry Bay. Go ashore at Glengariff, a green oasis where sub-tropical plants flourish set against the backdrop of the rugged Caha Mountains. Take an excursion into County Kerry and Killarney National Park, which sits beneath the wonderfully named Macgillycuddy's Reeks, Ireland's highest mountain range.
Day Five
Ocean Countess arrives in Cork's long, narrow Cobh harbour this morning. Shore excursions here offer you the chance to discover this historic capital of southwest Ireland, to head into the beautiful rolling countryside to fashionable Kinsale, famed for its fine food and sea-fishing, or to visit famous Blarney Castle, just north of the city, for a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone.
Day Six
This morning finds us in the fabled Isles of Scilly. Ocean Countess anchors in still blue waters, giving you the opportunity to go ashore to explore Hugh Town on St Mary's and the flower-strewn byways beyond, and stunning Tresco, where the world famous Abbey Gardens house Britain's finest subtropical plant collection.
Day Seven
Guernsey's delightful St Peter Port welcomes Ocean Countess this morning, and the day can be spent enjoying the pleasures of this beautiful Channel Isle. Don't miss 800-year-old Castle Cornet, which guards the entrance to the harbour, nor the medieval, cobbled central quarter of St Peter Port, where countless shops and colourful stalls offer tax-free gifts.
Day Eight
Ocean Countess calls at the Cornish port of Falmouth, home to the West Country's fascinating National Maritime Museum, and gateway to the nearby Eden Project and its 'biomes', which house an eye-popping collection of plants and trees from across the globe.
Day Nine
Today Ocean Countess stops in Milford Haven, offering you the chance to explore the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline and exquisite St David's, both easily accessible on a shore excursion.
