Today is spent at sea, as Marco Polo cruises northwards along the beautiful Norwegian Coast.

Day Three
ThreeMarco Polo arrives this morning in Molde, known as the 'city of jazz and roses' on account of the famous music festival held in high summer, when the flowers are in full bloom. Step ashore, perhaps to take an excursion, or perhaps to explore the town's fascinating outdoor folk museum.Later, Marco Polo makes her way to the Andalsnes. Enjoy an overland excursion through the vertiginous Trollstigen (Troll's Ladder), a breathtaking road at the head of the Valldal valley, and perhaps visit the famous wooden Rodven stave church in its dreamy setting beside the fjord

Day Four
Another relaxing day spent at sea.

Day Five
Rising up out of the sea like miniature Alps, the wild and beautiful Lofoten Islands' tiny fishing villages (with even tinier names, such as "A") shelter beneath towering peaks, cliffs and rock formations. Marco Polo calls at Leknes, nestled at the foot of stunning, Alp-like scenery, and there'll be an opportunity to explore this most beautiful corner of the world on an overland excursion. In this evening's light, we'll cruise through the Inside Passage, passing the stunning scenery of Solbergfjord, Gisund and Grotsund.

Day Six
Perhaps the highpoint of the cruise will come this evening, as Marco Polo docks in pretty Honningsvag. Join an optional excursion to the famous visitor centre at Nordkapp, almost Europe's northernmost point, to see the sun not quite set, then rise again above the Arctic Ocean. You'll return to the ship, passing Knivskjellodden, Europe's true northern tip, before Marco Polo turns south once more.

Day Seven
The largest settlement beyond the Arctic Circle, Tromso, with its magnificent cathedral rising grandly from its bustling centre, is our port of call this afternoon. Step ashore to explore the market, held daily in the main square, and the 'Polarmuseum', which pays tribute to Arctic pioneers such as Amundsen and Nansen.East of the city centre is the stunning, strikingly modern Arctic Cathedral, or Ishavskatedralen, with its amazing stained glass window and organ built in the shape of a ship just two of its memorable features. Close by, a cable car climbs to the summit of Mount Storsteinen for unsurpassed views.

Day Eight
Marco Polo crosses the Arctic Circle once more, on her journey south along thebeautiful Norwegian coast.

Day Nine
Geirangerfjord is one of the smallest, but most beautiful of the fjords, its twists and turns marked by crashing waterfalls and ancient and beguiling villages. Disembark at Geiranger itself to take in the beauty of it all, or to enjoy an excursion inland.

Day 10
Today is spent at sea, reliving the memories of a wonderful holiday.

Day 11
Marco Polo arrives back in Leith at the end of the cruise.
