The holiday was everything that we expected from it. The architecture was magnificent. Scott Anderson was very knowledgeable and enhanced the enjoyment of the buildings. The Excelsior restaurant provided an excellent dinner experience with good food and adequate wine. The only down side for us was the allocation of the room in the Mercure Hotel where we found ourselves in the smallest of bedrooms at the end of a corridor in a hotel that did not seem full. The room was somewhat cramped for two people and the hot water took an age to draw through on a morning if it got through at all. We do however commend the breakfasts which were above expectations.
The tour manager and guide enhanced our visit to Nancy. We were able to appreciate the history and architecture of the places we visited and the hotel was excellent for a 3*. As a single traveller I found the number of people on the tour appropriate. The organised evening meals were much appreciated and were excellent value.
Mrs C Cooper
It was good to eat out in a group as it really contributed to the bonding experience. And the restaurant chosen provided excellent choice in the meal provided for us and gave us first class service - there was no question of being made to feel like second class citizens because we were "a group".
Mrs P Bell
We enjoyed the tour immensely - both Ann &Jill were excellent.
