Two of the great painters, Vermeer and Rembrandt, were born and lived near to each other in the beautiful towns of Delft and Leiden that inspired them. This 6 day tour, travelling by Eurostar & fast local train visits both of these as well as the chance to see some of their creations in the lovely seaside town of The Hague and the Dutch capital, Amsterdam.

PLEASE NOTE: As with most trains, passengers are responsible for carrying baggage onto and off the train. Baggage can be stored on overhead shelves or at the entrance to the carriages.Trollies are available at St Pancras and Brussels, but bags do need to be carried on to the platform.Travel Editions recommends a new luggage delivery service called Carry My Luggage, where your suitcase can be picked up from your home before departure and delivered straight to your hotel; therefore removing the worry about carrying your cases onto and off the trains. PLEASE NOTE 2: Eurostar have changed their upgraded service from September 2010 from "Leisure Select" to a new service that they are branding as "Standard Premier." This service includes the upgraded seating on the train but now includes only a cold, light meal and a drink.

Travel by Eurostar from St Pancras or Ebbsfleet to Brussels and onwards to the Hague and by coach to Delft.
Day 2
Morning guided walking tour of Delft with afternoon free for personal exploration.
Day 3
Full day tour to The Hague including entrance to the Gemeentemuseum where the Mauritshuis collection including works by Rembrandt and Vermeer will be housed in 2013.
Day 4
Full day tour to Leiden and Gouda
Day 5
Full day tour to Amsterdam including entrance to the Rijksmuseum and Rembrandt's House
Day 6
Travel by train from the Hague to Brussels and onwards by Eurostar to Ebbsfleet/St Pancras

We loved everything about the tour, and this despite not good weather. Sandra our Tour guide was first class, entirely sensible and deeply knowledgeable. We managed to fit in a huge amount and yet not feel too galleried-out. Many thanks.
