Lake Annecy is one of the most beautiful areas of France and the scenery especially beautiful at Christmas bedecked with snow and with a festive Alpine atmosphere. Our Christmas tour, travelling by Eurostar and TGV trains, offers the opportunity of a relaxing break in the heart of Annecy, with visits to majestic Mont Blanc and Chamonix, Lake Geneva, the spa town of Evian, the medieval village of Yvoire and Geneva.

PLEASE NOTE: As with most trains, passengers are responsible for carrying baggage onto and off the train. Baggage can be stored on overhead shelves or at the entrance to the carriages. PLEASE NOTE 2: Eurostar have changed their upgraded service from September 2010 from "Leisure Select" to a new service that they are branding as "Standard Premier." This service includes the upgraded seating on the train but now includes only a cold, light meal and a drink.

Travel by Eurostar from St Pancras or Ebbsfleet to Paris and onwards to Annecy by TGV. On arrival transfer on foot (less than 100m) under tour manager's direction to Hotel Carlton for check in for 7-night stay on bed and breakfast basis.

Full day exploring Annecy and the lake.
December 24
Excursion to Geneva with return mid afternoon to allow time to prepare for the included Christmas Eve festive dinner at a delightful local restaurant.
December 25
Morning visit to La Clusaz for lunch at Hotel Alpen Roc with festive 4-course dinner at local restaurant.
December 26
Full day tour to Lake Geneva via the scenic Route des Grandes Alpes including Evian and Yvoire.
December 27
Full day tour to Chambéry and Aix-les-Bains.
December 28
Full day tour to Chamonix with the option to take the Aigulle du Midi cable car close to the summit of Mont Blanc (weather permitting).
December 29
Travel by TGV train from Annecy to Paris and onwards by Eurostar to Ebbsfleet or St Pancras.
