Day one

Fly to Croatia, and upon arrival, meet your Newmarket tour manager and transfer to Lapad bay and your chosen hotel. The transfer time will be approximately 40 minutes. Take a stroll in the area, with its wooded pathways and waterfront promenades, before dinner is served this evening.

Day two

A free day to explore your surroundings and to relax in the hotel. Take a stroll in the shaded woods, soak up the sun on the beach, or perhaps pursue one of the more energetic water activities.

Day three

Visit the walled city of Dubrovnik on today's included excursion. See the old town, Luza Square, and the St Blaise's church on the guided, walking tour. Then look out on Dubrovnik from the city walls and enjoy an afternoon sightseeing or shopping at leisure, before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day four

Today you'll travel through the wildlife of the river Neretva delta and the narrowing river gorge, into Bosnia-Herzegovina and Mostar. Wander the restored streets and visit the 17th-century Koski Mehmed pasa mosque, or perhaps purchase some local craftware at the market, before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day five

Journey south today to Montenegro. See the Bay of Kotor - Southern Europe's largest fjord, explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kotor itself, and visit Budva, one of the oldest settlements in the Adriatic, and now a thriving holiday resort.

Day six

Sail to the offshore Elaphiti - or 'Deer Islands'- on today's included cruise excursion. Discover the sandy beach of tiny Kolocep, and perhaps - depending on the captain's decision - neighbouring Lopud, former watering hole of Dubrovnik's nobility. We'll return to the hotel in time for a farewell dinner.

Day seven

Another free day.

Day eight

We leave Croatia and transfer to the airport for the return flight.

Hotel Vis

This welcoming hotel is set right on the shore of Lapad Bay, and boasts a garden terrace and a waterfront, man-made sunbathing area.

Hotel Uvala

Imagine Hotel Astarea

Set amongst cypress tress, above a pebble beach and overlooking the blue bay of Zupa Dubrovacka this hotel is some 12 kilometres south of Dubrovnik.
