Scottish Highlands & Islands
'Enjoy the very best of Scotland on this three-centre, seven day touring holiday that includes stays in the heart of the Highlands, on the legendary Isle of Skye and in scenic Ayrshire. Highlights include a circular tour of the beautiful Isle of Arran, visits to Inverness and delightful Portree on the Isle of Skye, and monster spotting at Loch Ness.

Day One
Fly to Edinburgh to meet your Newmarket Tour Manager and head to your hotel in Carrbridge. We'll stop in the bustling Highland resort of Pitlochry en route, and after check-in, you'll be free to relax and enjoy the rest of the afternoon.
Day Two
Discover the famous 'Malt Whisky Trail' - a 70-mile route through peaceful glens and rolling hills - and sample a 'wee dram' at one of the whisky distilleries, today. We'll also visit the fascinating Speyside Heather Centre (entrance payable locally), and delightful Grantown-on-Spey to explore its striking Georgian and Victorian architecture, interesting shops and award-winning museum, before returning to our hotel for dinner.
Day Three
Find out if the legend is true as we visit mysterious Loch Ness. Visit the Caledonian Canal Heritage and Clansman Centre for a fascinating insight into the history of the canal and clan life, or take an optional hour-long cruise on the Loch aboard the Royal Scot. We'll also stop at the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre before continuing to Inverness, where you'll be free to shop and sightsee.
Day Four
The beautiful Isle of Skye welcomes us today, after a scenic journey past gentle countryside, wild mountains and sparkling lochs. We'll explore the main town, Portree, with its delightful white- and colour-washed buildings set around the harbour, before arriving at our hotel for dinner.
Day Five
This morning we cross to the mainland and head for Ayrshire - a long, but wonderfully scenic journey. Highlights include travelling through historic Glencoe, over desolate Rannoch Moor and a memorable drive alongside beautiful Loch Lomond.We should arrive at the Menzies Hotel, Irvine by late afternoon.
Day Six
Today we'll take a short ferry ride to the Isle of Arran - known as 'Scotland in Miniature'. Explore its largest town, Brodick, and perhaps have an early lunch, before we take in the rest of the island - from the ruins of Lochranza Castle to the scenic villages of the south.
Day Seven
Bid farewell to Scotland and, stopping en route in Edinburgh for some last-miute shopping and sightseeing, return to the airport to board your flight home.
