Day One
Make your way to Humberside for embarkation and this evening's sailing.
Day Two
Today is spent at sea, enjoying the atmosphere on board and getting to know 'Ocean Countess' and your fellow passengers.
Day Three
This morning 'Ocean Countess' docks in Bergen - an ancient Hanseatic city of cobbled streets and medieval houses, and birthplace of composer Edvard Grieg. Visit the vibrant harbour and fish market, stroll past the wooden warehouses of Bryggen and take the Floibanen funicular to the summit of 'Mount' Floyen.
Day Four
This afternoon, 'Ocean Countess' arrives in the port of Molde, known as the 'city of jazz and roses' because of its famous summertime music festival. Picturesquely set on Romsdalfjord, Molde is backed by steep hills, which offer a magical view across the blue waters. Join our shore excursion at Andalsnes, and see the spectacular scenery of the region, including the vertiginous Trollstigen (Troll's Ladder) a breathtaking road at the head of the Valldal valley. From Andalsnes, there may be a chance to visit the famous wooden Rodven stave church in its dreamy setting beside the fjord.
Day Five
Geirangerfjord is one of the smallest, but most beautiful of the fjords, its twists and turns marked by crashing waterfalls and ancient and beguiling villages. Disembark at Geiranger itself to take in the beauty of it all, or to enjoy an excursion inland.
Day Six
This morning we negotiate a path through the narrow fingers of Sognefjord, the world's largest and deepest fjord, heading to its most remote corner, at Flam. Here you can board the world-famous Flamsbana Mountain Railway for an unforgettable six-mile journey to Myrdal. In the afternoon we'll disembark at Vik from where you'll be able to travel by land to the popular resort of Voss.
Day Seven
'Ocean Countess' spends her last day in the fjords making her way into Hardangerfjord, cruising through to Eidford, and the chance to go ashore this afternoon, or to join a final optional shore excursion into the hinterland.
Day Eight
Today is spent at sea, no doubt swapping memories of with fellow passengers, and enjoying a last evening's entertainment on board.
Day Nine
'Ocean Countess' arrives back in Hull at the end of the memorable voyage, and you'll bid farewell and make your way home.
