Today is spent at sea, enjoying the atmosphere on board and getting to know Ocean Countess and your fellow passengers.
Day Three
Oslo welcomes Ocean Countess this morning. In the compact centre of the lively, friendly Norwegian capital, you'll be spoilt for things to do. Join an optional shore excursion to the Viking Ships museum, where a trio of ancient craft are lovingly preserved, or to the Kon-Tiki museum, where famed explorer Thor Heyerdahl's fragile craft is on display.
Day Four
This morning Ocean Countess arrives at the delightful Swedish city of Helsingborg, the 'Pearl of the Oresund' (the narrow strait dividing Sweden from Denmark), which stands just across the water from Hamlet's brooding castle of Elsinore. Step ashore to explore the bustling waterfront, the city's Gothic St Mary's Cathedral, or to take an optional excursion into the countryside beyond. This afternoon, Ocean Countess makes her way down the strait to the Danish capital Copenhagen, where she'll moor overnight. Don't miss the opportunity to spend the evening in the wonderful surrounds of the city's fabled Tivoli Gardens, right in the heart of the city.
Day Five
Stylish Copenhagen, home to the famous Tivoli Gardens, and forever associated with Hans Christian Andersen, is a marvellous city. Join the optional shore excursion to discover the world famous 'Little Mermaid', the Royal Palace and the grand stores that line the Stroget before Ocean Countess sets sail once again in the afternoon.
Day Six
Discover the delightful Danish port of Allborg, in its beautiful waterside location next to the Limfjord. Spend the day exploring the old town, 17th-century castle and pastel-painted buildings, shop, or take the optional shore excursion to the fascinating Viking burial site at Lindholm Hoje. Aalborg is also home to the famous Aquavit spirit, and a visit to the distillery and museum provides another enjoyable diversion.
Day Seven
Today is spent at sea, no doubt reliving the memories of the past few days as Ocean Countess cruises home.
Day Eight
Ocean Countess returns to Hull at the end of a wonderful springtime voyage.
