Day One
Fly to Los Angeles, and transfer to your hotel in Anaheim for a two-night stay.

Day Two
Join today's optional excursion to perennially sunny San Diego. Highlights include a visit to the Gaslamp District - now a hip urban playground offering a fantastic array of shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities; a trip Downtown to see one of the most eclectic metropolitan areas in the country; and a stop at the Santa Fe Railroad Depot - a magnificent example of California's Spanish heritage.

Day Three
Board the coach to travel north from LA - enjoying a brief visit to the star-studded streets of Hollywood - along the stunning Pacific shoreline to delightful Pismo Beach, a seaside community famed for its dunes and clams.

Day Four
Today we continue along the Pacific coast, taking in more of its famous attractions along the way. We'll stop at quaint Carmel-by-the-Sea, an artistic community renowned for its art galleries and its former civil servant, Clint Eastwood, visit Monterey - a historic waterfront town immortalized in Steinbeck's classic 'Cannery Row' - and follow the scenic 17-Mile Drive, before arriving this evening in San Francisco.

Day Five
Our optional guided city tour is a wonderful introduction to the City by the Bay's colourful neighbourhoods, fresh sea air and awesome Golden Gate Bridge. This evening, take a stroll through charming Chinatown, or perhaps take a cable-car down to Fisherman's Wharf - home to sidewalk seafood vendors, souvenir shops, and many bars and restaurants.

Day Six
Today we leave the coast and journey east into the Sierra Nevada to Yosemite National Park. Renowned for its magnificent valley, spectacular granite domes and peaks, plunging waterfalls and giant sequoias, this stunning wilderness offers an unforgettable spectacle that is sure to be one of the highlights of your trip. Tonight you'll stay in Fresno, in California's fertile central valley.

Day Seven
Sit back and relax on a scenic journey taking you from California into Nevada. Here, you'll stay overnight in the small resort-town of Laughlin, on the banks of the Colorado River and at the southern tip of Nevada.

Day Eight
Another fantastic day awaits as you travel into the Nevada Desert to the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon. A giant chasm carved over millenia through the rocks of the Colorado Plateau, its beauty and size are simply breathtaking. Don't miss the opportunity to take our optional Helicopter Flight over this natural wonder before we head to the bright lights of Las Vegas - the world's most famous desert playground.

Day Nine
Enjoy a free day exploring Vegas's many glamorous attractions, or join our optional excursion to the Hoover Dam or Grand Canyon Ranch where pine cabins, western entertainment and horseback rides - and another helicopter trip - offer an entertaining taste of the 'Real West'. This evening, experience Vegas by night on our optional excursion, culminating in the incredible display of 'dancing' fountains at the Bellagio Hotel.

Day 10
Journey back, through the desert, to Los Angeles' LAX Airport, for the return overnight flight.

Day 11
Arrive back in the UK at the end of a wonderful West Coast holiday.
