Day One
Fly to Geneva and transfer to Chateau d'Oex (approximately two hours). Our Tour Manager will meet you and be on hand to help throughout your holiday.
Day Two
Join our included excursion to exquisite, medieval Gruyeres, where you'll learn how the celebrated cheese is made. Afterwards we'll head to the ancient university city of Fribourg to discover the steep, cobbled streets and haphazard houses of a city populated by a cosmopolitan mix of French and Swiss-German speakers.
Day Three
Today's optional excursion is to Switzerland's historic heartland, once home to legendary Wilhelm Tell. You'll visit the lakeside city of Luzern, with its famous Chapel Bridge and marvellous Transport Museum, perhaps boarding a steamer to enjoy the stunning scenery from the water.
Day Four
Explore Chateau d'Oex, today, or join our included full-day tour of the Bernese Oberland. Travelling through stunning countryside, we take in scenic Lake Thun and the bustling resort of Interlaken, as well as spectacular Grindelwald at the foot of the mighty Eiger.
Day Five
On our final optional excursion you'll be able to journey south to the sun-kissed, wine-producing Valais region above Lake Geneva. The day includes a ride on the rack railway that makes its way slowly through the vineyards around the village of Aigle to Leysin - one of Switzerland's premier winter ski-resorts. From here, you'll travel to fashionable Montreux. This home to the famous Jazz Festival has a delightful lakefront promenade and a host of shops and stores. Close by, brooding Chateau Chillon, Switzerland's most famous landmark, guards the dark secrets of the past, and makes for a fascinating visit.
Day Six
Transfer back to Geneva Airport for check-in and your flight home.
