An excellent and enjoyable weekend, everything went smoothly and both the Tour Managers were efficient, helpful and informative. We very much enjoyed the talk by Paul Atterbury and appreciated Rita's no nonsense approach regarding the need to adhere to a strict time table and as a result we had the maximum opportunity to enjoy every event.

The organisation of this tour was exceptional and the Tour Guide, Mike Stone, was magnificent. Nothing was too much trouble and our party ended up with a very comprehensive overview along with a wealth of detail of the Roman Occupation in the North of England. The specialist speakers also helped immeasurably in this too. The Hotel was very good with very spacious rooms and friendly and helpful staff.

Market Town to Iron Town - Travel Editions
This was a very well organised weekend. Yet another memorable experience (we started these weekend breaks in 1997!). Many of these have been led by Mike Stone; if we see his name on the itinerary we are confident of a friendly, organised and informative experience, so we are looking forward to another tour in 2012.
